better be nov or dec and not 2/28/09. I play sc when I was 6 and i'm 14 and still playing the great game. SC2 looks like WCIII but with better graphics. when it come out in Dec i'm going to sleep in the snow first in line at 12:00am waiting to buy the game.

Its not like its going to be completely diffrent from the first game. All you people who say that its going to suck compared to the old SC arent thinking through it. sure a few units might be taken out but they will be replaced with dozens more that we will come to love. i read somewhere on the site that the edditior will contain all the units they took out while developing the game and the ones that where from the original so no worries, you guys will still be able to see the awsomenes of the firebat. it would be nice if it came out quicker but i really dont want one of those games that come out half made and need one gig patches and the like. those types of games really upset me.

hold you breath for SC2 my teacher said that they were talkin about the original for 3 years before it came out and by looks of thing its gunna take them a while, and not to mention all the new tech coming out by the time it comes out it might be outdated

rumors are that there is a "new race" but it is not a playable race. you only face it in the story. I have a few friends who work for blizzard so I'm able to get some inside info... they've told me that they don't even have a set release date yet. it is all depending on how fast they can finish the game and finish the testing. they're hoping to have it done a few weeks before christmas but they aren't promising that it will be out before then. so you might be looking at a spring release. but you never know

by chance theres a new race its gotta have its place in the univers it cant just be some random thing

I'm sorry but stores dont just set a random release date on games. How could that possibly make "noobs" more likely to buy a game? If someone is going to preorder starcraft 2, they're going to preorder starcraft 2, it doesnt matter if theres a release date or not. And in fact, it would be more beneficial for blizzard to come up with a random release date and tell stores like these so they would get some early, guaranteed sales to those chains... However, if this is the release date listed on those sites, i'm sure blizzard is hoping to release the game around that time. Whether or not they are actually able to is an entirely different question.

its not gonna be release on that date, blizzard isnt trying to hint anything. stores put predicted dates up so they can have garunteed sales from noobs like you guys
